HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL:

            Once again the holidays have arrived ever so quickly.  As we slow down to reflect on this past year, we hope you and your family are enjoying the Holiday Season.  For those of you counting, this is Dr. LeSage's 21^st  annual newsletter; hopefully, you enjoy the yearly updates.  As is usually the case, this has been another exceptionally busy year for our practice.
 
            First of all, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers that have allowed us to grow and prosper. The growth and success of the practice has been a direct reflection of your support through your referrals.
 
Most of you are very aware of Dr. LeSage's continued efforts to be at the cutting edge of dental education and technology.   The Institute consists of Dr. LeSage and associate's state of the art private practice and media savvy consultation room; as well as a teaching and training operatory and classroom for practicing dentists from around the globe.
 
STAFF UPDATE
            Dr. LeSage….. continues to be an educator as well as a practitioner in the field of comprehensive, esthetic dentistry.  For the 15^th straight year the UCLA Aesthetic Continuum program he directs has sold out.  The continuum is a 12 day program where practicing dentists learn contemporary esthetic dental procedures through lecture, hands-on participation and live patient demonstrations.  Dr. LeSage facilitates just over half the program.  He is in his 7^th year as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Fellowship Chair and his 15^th year as an Accreditation Examiner.  Dr. LeSages's lecturers have taken his family across the country and internationally to Amsterdam Netherlands, Vancouver Canada and also to Scottsdale, Hawaii and New York.  Individually he has lectured in Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Nashville, San Antonio, Greenbelt, MD, and  Phoenix.
            After his 2007 successful presentation, Dr. LeSage achieved a milestone in his career by being inducted as a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.  The AAED awarded that Dr. LeSage is 1 of approximately 200 worldwide members.  He is amongst 4 dentists in the world that have achieved AACD Fellowship status and AAED membership.  He has taught over 140 hours of continuing education and studied over 80 hours this year.  The Beverly Hills Institute of Dental Esthetics will continue to conduct educational programs on a regular basis.  Dr. LeSage enjoys the mixture of private practice and sharing knowledge with his dental colleagues.  His private practice is the most rewarding as he provides the highest standard of care to you his patients.  
            Dr. LeSage has published several articles this year all involving the theme of Minimally Invasive Dentistry(conservative dentistry)- efforts to save our patients tooth structure.  He is one of a very few dentists that has had this philosophy since 1987.
            Articles published this year were numerous:  Finishing and Polishing Criteria For Minimally Invasive Composite Restorations, Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry,  Two Viewpoints on Prepared Veneers and Prep-Less Veneers, Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry,  Composites In The 3D World, Ease, Strength and Beauty, Dentistry Today, Smile Beautiful, New You Magazine,  Feldspathic Veneers: What Are Their Indications? Compendium, and Composite: The Ultimate Material For Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Dentaltown.
 
 
            Dr. Malaekeh…… joined BHIDE in late 2009.  She is Dr. LeSage's wife and really enjoys here new role on the BHIDE team.  This past year she joined Dr. LeSage in being certified in Invisalign Orthodontic treatment.  She continues to be President of the UCLA Dental School Alumni Association and a busy mom of  Ceerous(7) and Elleeka(3). Dr. Malaekeh handles the routine general dentistry needs of our adult and children patients.  We are confident you will find her knowledgeable and caring with every visit.
 
            Dr. Moldovan…… is our Periodontist(gum specialist) at BHIDE.  She does very advanced periodontal surgical procedures from gums graft, implant placement, sinus lifts and bone augmentations.  Dr. Moldovan is incredibly knowledgeable as she too is involved with UCLA Continuing Education courses involving implants.  She is loved and respected by all here at BHIDE.
 
            Edwin, Gracie and Rita…….chairside are Dr. LeSage's third and fourth hands for every patient visit.  Their goal is to make every visit as comfortable and timely as possible.  Please do not hesitate to make any special request.
 
            Shilla…… now going into her sixth year with the practice, leads the hygiene department. She enjoy her 1 year old daughter Kayla when not in the office.
            Shilla, Shima and Mina continue to run the hygiene program and have done an exceptional job in educating and motivating you our patients in oral hygiene and its relationship with your overall health.  They each have taken over 15 hours of continuing education keeping up with the most recent advancements in periodontal maintenance and care.
 
            Julie and Trina…….. help accommodate your schedule with your dental wants and appointments.  They have over 40 years of experience in the dental field, so please do not hesitate to ask them any question regarding the administrative aspect of our practice.  They are more then happy to accommodate you in any fashion.
 
            We hope you have enjoyed hearing a little about each of us.  Every day each one of us brings to the office dedication and desire to improve upon our patient's oral health.  It is an integral part of our mission statement; "providing the highest quality oral health in a cheerful, honest and caring environment with a commitment to uncompromised personal and professional service for each patient."
